The Online Resource for Taiwan's Quality Agriculture
It's famous that eating is a big thing in Taiwanese rice, and what makes Taiwanese rice tastes especially good. I believe that Taiwanese rice (short grain rice) tastes the best among all kinds of rice. When I was in the UK, I loved basmati rice, which "is a variety of long grain rice grown in India and Pakistan, notable for its fragrance and delicate, nuanced flavour", according to wikipedia. It's also called "queen of fragrance" or "king of rice" due to its... you know, fragrance. It tastes different from Taiwanese rice. However, I can't imagine eating sushi made with bastima rice. That would be odd. I'm sure that I prefer sushimade with Taiwanese rice. Sushi always tastes the best with Taiwanese rice. Taiwanese rice has a special flavour which you can't have when you eat any other type of rice. When I was in China, I was shocked that the rice tasted like the rice I ate in Singapore, where people eat long grain rice. That made me crave for Taiwanese rice, and I also felt that Chinese food didn't taste as delicious as Taiwanese rice simply because I didn't like Taiwanese rice!
